I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Neurosurgery and Affiliate Faculty at the Scientific Computing & Imaging (SCI) Institute.
Previously, I was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah in Dr. Christopher R. Butson's lab at the Scientific Computing & Imaging (SCI) Institute. I then pursued postdoctoral training with support from an NIH NINDS K99/R00 award in Dr. Coralie de Hemptinne's lab at the University of Florida in the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases and the Department of Neurology.

Research Interests: My research interests include brain stimulation therapies for patients with psychiatric and movement disorders. My long-term goal is to further our mechanistic understanding of the therapeutic effects of DBS and develop patient-specific, data-driven approaches in order to improve symptoms and quality of life for patients suffering from debilitating psychiatric conditions.
